Express Entry
Express Entry is a system created to manage applications for permanent residence in certain economic categories.
Express Entry allows IRCC to actively recruit, assess and select skilled immigrants under the following 3 federal economic immigration categories:
Through the FSWC, the selection is based on a points system that evaluates an applicant’s education, work experience, official language proficiency, age, pre-arranged employment in Canada and adaptability.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: If you have foreign Post Secondary education, you must have a completed credential, and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from a designated organization showing that your education is equal to a completed certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian Institution. If you went to school in Canada, you must have a certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian: secondary institution (high school) or post-secondary institution
Work Experience: Have at least one year, in the last 10 years, of continuous full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience in a skilled occupation, other than in a restricted occupation, that are listed in NOC A, B or 0.

Language Proficiency : Be able to demonstrate on an approved language test a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 7 in all four abilities: listening, speaking, reading and writing, in either English or French.

The Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC), specifically, it focuses on people in the following types of trades: industrial, electrical and construction trades; maintenance and equipment operation trades; supervisors and technical occupations in natural resources, agriculture and related production; processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators; chefs and cooks; and butchers and bakers.
Minimum Requirements:
Language Proficiency : Be able to demonstrate on an approved language test a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 for speaking and listening,(CLB) of 4 for reading and writing, in either English or French.
Work Experience: Have at least 24 months of work experience (after qualification/certification in the country where the work was performed, where applicable) in one of the skilled trade occupations in the last five years.
Education : There is no education requirement for the Federal Skilled Trades Program. However, you may get additional points, if you have foreign completed education credential, and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from a designated organization showing that your education is equal to a completed certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian Institution.
Proof of funds :You must prove that you have enough money for you and your family for the first months in Canada, unless you, are currently able to legally work in Canada or have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada.
Settlement fund requirements are based on family configuration and low-income cut-off (LICO) figures for Canada.

This category opens the door to Canada for some would be to immigrants who have acquired Canadian work experience. The class is intended to benefit those who have or had worked in Canada for the last three years.
Minimum Requirements:
Work Experience : : Have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before applying, that are listed in NOC A, B or 0

However, you may get additional points, if you have foreign completed education credential, and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from a designated organization showing that your education is equal to a completed certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian Institution.
Language Proficiency : Be able to demonstrate on an approved language test a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 7 for Noc 0 or A jobs, (CLB) of5 for NOC B jobs, in all four abilities: listening, speaking, reading and writing, in either English or French.
